Today was such an easy Friday at work. Good thing, too, because a car alarm right outside my apartment went off at 4:45 am. I didn’t go back to sleep, but, somehow, I felt good all day long at work. Probably because I got out early, the kids were extra sweet and cute, and Maria and I had fun putting together our bulletin board, which I think turned out pretty good.
Isn’t that the healthiest blind turkey you ever did see? (One of our weeks this month is centered around nutritious foods, if that explains this a little.)
I know it’s a little late, but it’s still Friday. So here we go. Right now I’m looking forward to…
1. Watching Scandal
This actually already happened tonight with my mom, but it would have made the list if I had written this earlier today. I don’t really keep up with any other TV shows, but Scandal is the show that captures my interest like no other. The acting, story lines, and portrayal of human nature and politics is captivating.
2. Lou Lou
I get to spend a lot of time with my brother’s and his wife’s dog this weekend. I’m hoping to do something fun with her outside if it’s not rainy!
3. No work
Once again, John and my schedules are crazy. Lately, when I’m working, he’s not. And when he’s working, I’m not. I think tomorrow night we’ll get to see each other, and I am sooo excited. Tomorrow will also be exactly five months since we got married. This is a recycled picture, but it’s one of our favorite things to do together, so it works.
I’ve been on a bit of a running hiatus lately, but I’m going to try to convince myself to get up and get going. I know it’ll feel good; I just need the motivation to get to that point.
5. Painting my chair
When I was in Georgia a couple months ago with my family visiting my great aunt and uncle, the girls went shopping at different consignment shops. I found an old solid wood chair. The wood’s appearance is slightly beaten up and it looks fine, but I’d been wanting to paint furniture anyway. They were having a sale, and I purchased the chair and some grey-ish milk paint to go along with it. The milk paint is powder paint that you mix together with water. It sounds really easy, and I’m hoping to find the time this weekend to experiment with that. I hope it turns out alright!
I hope you enjoy your weekend! What are you looking forward to? Let me know in the comment section of this post!
